Artisan Partners' David Samra joins Kieran Poole to discuss his investment approach, the best markets for activism, and Japan's corporate governance evolution. Samra is a managing director and founding partner of the Artisan Partners International Value Team. He is also lead portfolio manager and was co-portfolio manager for the Global Value Fund from its inception in 2007 to 2018. Under his leadership, it was nominated six times for Morningstar, Inc.’s International-Stock Fund Manager of the Year award in the U.S. and won it in 2008 and 2013. It was also named EAFE Equity Investment Manager of the Year in 2015 and 2016 by Institutional Investor.
